Before becoming the Medical Director at Blueprints for Recovery, Dr. Terry Vaughan spent over a decade practicing addiction psychiatry in Prescott, AZ. Dr. Vaughan’s previous position was Medical Director of West Yavapai Guidance clinic, where she helped countless people with their journey to recovery. She is experienced in treating patients dealing with mood disorders, anxiety, substance dependence, developmental disabilities, and psychotic disorders.
Dr. Vaughan is board certified in Psychiatry to work with both adults and adolescents. She is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Psychiatric Association, and in 2009 she was one of the 41 psychiatrists in the nation to receive the “Exemplary Psychiatrist” award from the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI). Her compassion and expertise are a tremendous asset to both staff and clients of Blueprints for Recovery.
