Testimonials | Blueprints For Recovery

From a former resident, Blake:

From November 2008 to November 2009 I was a resident under Rodney Zimmers’ care. I arrived to treatment fragile, broken, and with a family torn apart by my disease of addiction. With Rodney’s guidance and constant compassion I was able to begin building a new life for myself; a life that is comprised of a healthy family dynamic, self sufficiency, and most importantly self worth. I feel fortunate that my relationship with Rodney extends further than a resident/ staff member; even after treatment I know that I am able to turn to him when I need support and understanding. My life has changed in numerous ways, and I can say with complete honesty that Rodney was a integral component to my healthy and happy life.

From a former resident’s mother:

He was always very honest with residents and families in a very caring manner. He held residents accountable for their actions but always conveyed his no nonsense message with deep care and concern for them. Because of this and his own personal path he held a lot of credibility with the residents.

He took special care to really get to know our son and helped us to facilitate all the extra care our son needed at the time. Because of his deep care and concern, he saw things in our son that needed more attention. Rodney continued to call us to check on our son long after our son was gone from the program.

We believe Rodney has the dedication, heart-felt concern, and incredible work ethic to make a positive contribution in the recovery of young addicts. We would have no reservations sending a loved one to a program that he is involved with.

From a Therapist:

I worked with David Birchall in the rehab industry for more than ten years. During this long association Dave performed a myriad of duties in a highly professional and effective manner. Dave functioned as the Outdoor Director, Vocational Director, and finally, as Director, President and CEO. He consistently demonstrated his dedication to providing sound leadership and support to all the professional disciplines he coordinated throughout the years.

In my role as a staff therapist, I found Dave’s input invaluable in my attempts to help residents in crisis. His approach to challenges was consistently decisive, pro-active, supportive and highly effective.

Dave is deeply committed to working with young adults struggling with addiction problems and his extensive experience in the rehab business is an invaluable asset that he brings to all future endeavors.

I worked with Rodney Zimmers for four and half years and always found him to be highly professional and effective. Rodney always put the welfare of the residents first. He was dedicated to understanding their needs and designing programs that would have the best chance of success.

In my role as a staff therapist I was always able to work in a cooperative, professional manner with Rodney and found his expertise and dedication to our clients an invaluable resource.

Rodney consistently demonstrated the vision, dedication and experience to make a unique and highly effective contribution to the rehab industry.

From a former resident, Jimmy:

Four and a half years ago my life changed forever. At 23, I was lacking most too all characteristics of what a responsible adult consisted of. The mixture between no self confidence, a chameleon type personality, and no real responsibilities had led me to a dark place consisting of drugs and alcohol. Drugs and alcohol were my escape.  When I was admitted to treatment, I got both Dave Birchall and Rodney Zimmers as sponsors. Throughout my stay at long-term residential treatment, these two helped guide me throughout the whole process. I was able gain self confidence and start to feel comfortable in my own skin. As I am only one of hundreds these two men have helped along the way, I will never be able to give enough thanks to them for the life I have today as a result of my sobriety and the countless hours they helped mentoring me.
