Therapy
Cutting edge addiction treatment challenges traditional psychotherapeutic models of working with addicts. The Change Model, Motivational Interviewing, and Transtheoretical Model of Change (or Stages of Recovery) help addicts in treatment and their families gain better understanding of relapse, along with a shift in focus from denial to readiness. We, as a field, have found that simply waiting for an addict/alcoholic to “hit bottom” is a limitation that we and our treatment population cannot afford to continue, support, or allow. What helps addicts grapple with the ambivalence and shame inherent in their disease? Our belief at Blueprints For Recovery is that clients need to be met where they are at, and that each individual will have his own perspective and relationship with the addiction itself. At Blueprints, Dr. Cindy Rollins helps clients through the stages of change through multimodalities and openness to self-expression. Our treatment addresses the diverse needs of substance abusers and treatment seekers, supports more proactive interventions, creates a concentration on motivational enhancement which helps clients to “take charge” of their ongoing wellness and their commitment to lifelong sobriety. Psychotherapy at Blueprints is just as likely happening while climbing up a mountain trail, as it could be one on one, on the volleyball court. Dr. Cindy’s “out of the box” approach to helping men find themselves is one of the unique aspects of long-term treatment at Blueprints For Recovery.
