Rodney Zimmers, BA – CEO

Rodney was with Gatehouse Academy for over 5 years, until their recent closing. He began his treatment career as a Residential Technician, then as an Admissions Coordinator, a Residential Director, a Family Communications Manager, and finally, the Program Director.  His Bachelor’s degree is in Health Care Management. Rodney brings a tremendous amount of heart to his work; and also, an impeccable integrity to the business side of treatment.  Mr. Zimmers brings art and music to the program, along with recovery related outings and 12-step literature studies. He has an enormous commitment to addiction recovery. “I truly believe that long-term treatment gives the addict his best chance for recovery and a new healthy life. The addict needs time, lots of time, in a safe and sober environment to survive and then thrive.

Cindy Rollins, PsyD – Licensed Clinical Psychologist Clinical Director

Cindy is a licensed clinical psychologist for the state of Arizona. She earned a Doctorate in Clinical-Community Psychology in 2010 at University of La Verne, California. Cindy’s expertise includes providing counseling services to adolescents and adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings;  primarily in managing anxiety disorders, mood disorders, substance abuse and addiction, dual diagnosis, chronic pain, medical adherence, post-traumatic stress disorder, as well as provide psychological testing and comprehensive ADHD testing services. She uses an integrative approach, often pulling from cognitive behavioral therapy and humanistic therapy, while incorporating a strengths-based framework that focuses on increasing each individual’s awareness of his or her inner resiliency in overcoming challenges. Cindy possesses familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic techniques insight-oriented dialogue, dialectical behavioral skills acquisition, motivational interviewing techniques, cognitive reframing, awareness exercises, self-monitoring experiments, visualization, guided imagery, journal keeping, drawing, and bibliotherapy. She collaborates with key individuals in each client’s life such as other therapists, nutritionists, physicians and psychiatrists, family members, for treatment planning and coordination of care. Cindy is an adjunct psychology faculty at Prescott College and is actively involved in the local community as a volunteer. She also enjoys reading science fiction books, playing scrabble, mountain trail running, and considers herself to be a hard-core “Trekkie.”

Casey D. Woodrow

Casey loves the outdoors, and since getting sober in March of 2010, that passion has only grown. Casey has received safety/wilderness aptitude certifications, the most recent being WFR (Wilderness First Responder) and EMT certifications. He has spent time canoeing in the Canadian boundary waters, backpacking in the Bear-tooth Mountains of Montana, and backcountry skiing in Colorado, Utah, Montana, California, New Mexico, and Wyoming. His love for wilderness fuels his enthusiasm for life, and his hope is that he can carry his respect and appreciation for the outdoors to the clients/residents at Blueprints for recovery.

Serena Carlin
Interventionist, Counselor, BHT, and Director of Transitional Program

Serena Comes to Blueprints for Recovery with a wealth of experience, knowledge, and talent.   Having spent over six years working for Gatehouse Academy, She has flown all over the country facilitating interventions with families and convincing young people to commit to treatment. Serena has worked closely with clients and their families, coaching parents in new, healthy relational patterns to best assist their loved ones in treatment.  As Assistant Program Director she was responsible for the day to day operations of the 70-bed facility.  Serena brings tools for moving deeply into the recovery process, including tutoring, for those seeking their GEDs or those desiring a new start at college. She teaches cooking and highlights the importance of good nutrition as treatment for the body, mind, and spirit. Moreover, our clients flock to Serena for her warmth, wisdom, and frank ability to convey recovery concepts. Serena has brought Neurofeedback to Blueprints for Recovery and is excited to offer our young people this cutting edge treatment.
